Preparation of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)

P&IDs are essential documents for plant operation, providing a comprehensive statement of plant configuration, equipment interconnections, control linkages, materials of construction, and operating data. Also known as PV&I Diagrams (piping, valve, instrumentation), these documents are crucial for the safe and efficient operation of your plant.
Preparation of Equipment List
Our team develops and produces detailed Process Equipment Lists by registering all process equipment on the PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams). These lists include equipment tags with an agreed numbering system and detailed equipment specifications, ensuring all equipment is cataloged and easily identifiable for efficient management and maintenance.
Preparation of Pipeline List
We prepare a comprehensive Pipeline List, numbering each line and maintaining a Process Line List register. This register includes essential process information for each line, such as fluid type, fluid phase, operating and design temperatures, pressures, and more. We calculate pipeline diameters based on hydraulic requirements, detailing these calculations in the notes and indicating the resulting line diameters on the P&IDs.

Preparation of Specifications for Process Equipment
Our team provides detailed specifications for all process equipment, including size and duty specifications for specialized equipment. We perform equipment sizing based on the required process duties, such as determining the size of a gas compressor according to gas flow and gravity or sizing a cooling water pump based on fluid cooling requirements and calorific value. We also consider site conditions, such as the temperature of available cooling mediums like air or seawater. The process duty of each piece of equipment is summarized in a Process Data Sheet, ensuring all specifications are clearly documented.
Process and Mechanical Properties and Design of Equipment
We prepare detailed equipment design calculation sheets, indicating both the input data and the results of the calculations. This includes specialized equipment such as solvent extraction mixer-settlers, tank house rectifiers, heat exchangers, fired equipment, rotating equipment, and packaged units. Our team selects the appropriate equipment after sizing and requests the necessary specifications from vendors, ensuring all equipment meets the required standards.
Pipeline Planning
Our pipeline planning services include selecting pipe materials based on the classification of process fluids. We categorize fluids as non-corrosive, low-pressure corrosive, or high-corrosive services, and define Piping Material Classes to standardize material usage across multiple services. This approach allows for material interchangeability at the site, improving flexibility and efficiency. We also assist with pipe routing and provide isometric drawings to support the installation process.
Plant Layouts and General Arrangements
We produce basic layout drawings, including plot plans and general arrangements. The layout design is crucial as it represents a long-term commitment and can significantly impact plant operations throughout its lifetime.
